The Gateway Theatre of Shopping is a large shopping center located in Umhlanga Rocks, KwaZulu-Natal. When initially opened it spanned 130,000 sq. meters; however, due to the demand in South Africa, Gateway expanded and the gross building area now covers more than 150,000 sq. meters. It is presently under expansion again and once complete in March 2007, the retail area in the center will total 166,000 square meters.
