Gaudencio Borbon Rosales (born August 10, 1932 in Batangas City, Batangas) is a priest of the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines. He succeeded Jaime Cardinal Sin to serve the Archdiocese of Manila as its archbishop. Rosales concurrently holds the titles of Metropolitan and Primate of the Philippines. He is only the fourth native Filipino Archbishop of Manila — following centuries of Spanish, American and Irish episcopacy. Rosales was transfered to the Diocese of Malaybalay, becoming its coadjutor bishop on June 9, 1982. On September 14, 1984, Rosales succeeded the Bishop of Malaybalay taking complete authority over the diocese.
