Geauga County is a county located in the state of Ohio. As of 2000, the population is 90,895. Its county seat is Chardon6.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,057 km˛ (408 mi˛). 1,045 km˛ (404 mi˛) of it is land and 12 km˛ (5 mi˛) of it is water. The total area is 1.13% water.

There are 32,805 housing units at an average density of 31/km˛ (81/mi˛). The racial makeup of the county is 97.42% White, 1.22% Black or African American, 0.08% Native American, 0.42% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.14% from other races, and 0.71% from two or more races. 0.59% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 31,630 households out of which 37.10% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.90% are married couples living together, 7.20% have a female householder with no husband present, and 21.00% are non-families. 17.60% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.90% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.84 and the average family size is 3.24.
