Even before she began to walk, Geeta Basra learnt to use the videocassette recorder and put a video in to watch films. She had done her first performance on stage when she was only two years old. She is an ardent fan of Madhuri Dixit for many years now and performed on Madhuri numbers many times.Since her childhood, she used to watch Madhuri Starrer films. and tried to mimic her.Madhuri Dixit influenced Geeta Basra’s talent as an actress and dancer. When Main ‘Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon’ was being made Geeta Basra was dying to play that role but could not make her dream come true since she was still at Portsmouth, UK.The lead role in the movie was played by the stunning beauty Antara Mali. Bollywood is Geeta Basra’s dream ever since she started to dream.
