"Gel" is the first single off of Collective Soul's self-titled second album. Although it peaked #2 on the Mainstream Rock Charts, it wasn't as successful as their later singles. The song was featured in Jerky Boys: The Movie. Which goes to show you how highly regarded the song is, being featured in such an awful movie. Can you believe Alan Arkin was in that movie? And they let him have an Oscar! And really, Collective Soul? Did you even know they were a group, or that this song even existed? Why are you even looking up this song on here, anyway? I mean, no offense, buy Collective Soul is like a band you'd see in your local bar, you know, the kind that feels the need to try to address the crowd one-on-one between songs ("Hey, everybody, I just want to let you know we have the FRESHEST tequila at the bar right now!"), when you just want them to either shut up or go back to playing their bad cover songs.
