The General Confederation of Labour (Portuguese: Confederação Geral do Trabalho, or CGT) was a former Portuguese labour union confederation. The General Confederation of Labour had its roots in the National Worker's Union and was founded in September 13 of 1919. It was greatly influenced by the anarcho-syndicalist movement.
