Geoff Britton moved to Spain at the end of the 80's and has played in a whole catalogue of bands since he began in the 1960's. Possibly his first big break was with folk-rockers East of Eden, although he is best known for his spell in Wings with Paul McCartney in the mid 70's. Other names for his CV include Manfred Mann's Earthband, The Pirates, Chicken Shack, The Mike Oldfield Band, The Wild Angels. In 1977 he was in the 'supergroup' Rough Diamond, recording in Londons' Roundhouse Studios when he came across an eighteen old assistant engineer called Jools Cooper.

Venus and Mars - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (718 words)
After recording Band on the Run as a three-piece with wife Linda and guitarist Denny Laine, McCartney hired Jimmy McCulloch, a young lead guitarist and Geoff Britton on drums.
Having written a slew of new songs, McCartney decided upon New Orleans as their recording venue, and Wings headed there in January 1975 to record their next album.
As soon as the sessions began, the personality clash that had been evident between McCulloch and Britton became more pronounced, and Britton—after a mere six month stay—left Wings, after having only played on three songs.
