GeorgeGrierson married thirdly, 20th August, 1734, at Belfast, Jane, daughter of James Blow, printer, of that town, and widow of Francis Cromie.
The eldest son, [1] (Sir) GeorgeAbrahamGrierson, the celebrated Oriental scholar, described as "the greatest linguist Ireland ever produced," was educated at St. Bee's School, Shrewsbury, and TRINITY COLLEGE DULBIN, where he obtained the degrees of B.A., Ph.D. and D.Litt.
