In the science-fiction TV series Stargate SG-1, Gerak, portrayed by Louis Gossett, Jr., is the leader of the Free Jaffa Nation, Gerak was formerly the First Prime of Montu, a minor Goa'uld who once served Ra and later fell in with Baal when Ra was killed. Gerak is the current head of the Jaffa High Council; as the leader of the traditionalist faction he is the political rival of Teal'c.
