Mount Geraneia or Gerania (Greek: Γεράνεια), rarely Yerania is a mountain range that spans about 5 km from north to south (about 5 km N of Agioi Theodoroi to the Gulf of Corinth) and from east to west from 15 to 20 km. (from NE of Loutraki to SW of Aigosthena. The road runs to the west and the north. The mountains include some mountains in the northwestern part and the central part. The panorama of the eastern half of the Gulf of Corinth and parts of southern Viotia is to the north, Megara and the plain along with the western half of Attica can be seen along with the Salamis Island The Saronic Gulf along with much of the islands can be seen during clearer days and the northern and the eastern part of Corinth can also be seen. There is a communications tower which is located somewhere. It is located about 20 km SW of Aigosthenes, about 30 km NW of Megara, 10 km E of Loutraki, about 20 km NE of Corinth and about 15 km NE of GR-8A/E94/E65 northbound or southbound. The name of the mountain dates back to ancient times. There are some roads in the mountain area and which are not paved and accessible. The geography of Geraneia includes forests in the south, the west and the northern part at an elevation of under 900 to 1,000 m. Barren land is in the central part. The grasslands and some bushes lies to the northwest. Farmlands and some barren land lies to the south. There are some mountaintops outside the range, a pine one in the southwest and a forested one in the south and a barren one with some bushes which is called Kakia Skala to the southeast.
