The All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography is the world's oldest educational institution in Cinematography, founded in 1919. The institute is located in Moscow, Russia. In 1986 it was named after Russian film director and actor Sergey Appolinariyevich Gerasimov. It is one of the few film schools to focus its teaching methods through the production of 35mm film.
