The German Sixth Panzer Army (6.Panzer-Armee) was formed as part of the Wehrmacht in Fall 1944. Although it didn't receive the SS designation until after the Battle of the Bulge, the SS designation came into general use after the Second World War for the unit assembled prior to that campaign.
