History
The airline was set up in 2004 as a partnership between the Government of Ghana and a group of private international investors, replacing the defunct Ghana Airways that had ceased operations in 2004. An experienced team led by Ralph Atkin, founder of SkyWest in the United States was also installed. The management team also included the former CEO of Kenya Airways - Brian Presbury, as well as Albert Vitale, Sean Mendis and other experienced airline professionals.
