Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino (22 September 1833 - 22 March 1913) was a Conservative Romanian politician who twice served as the Prime Minister of Romania: between 23 April 1899 and 19 July 1900 and between 4 January 1906 and 24 March 1907.
He was born into the Romanian noble Cantacuzino family and was a descendant of Romanian voivods and Byzantine Emperors.
The Cantacuzino Palace of Bucharest (nowadays the George Enescu Museum) and the Cantacuzino Castle of Buşteni were built by him.

Wife of the conservative politician  Grigore Gheorghe Cantacuzino, she was using the social status provided by her husbands’ aristocratic background as one of the basis on which she formulated her national and social responsibility for societal well-being in general and for women’s position in society in particular
From the perspective of this conceptualization of modernity, Princess Cantacuzino advocates the need of a strong, responsible state rather than of one devoted to liberal policies and her attitude in this matter corresponds to a traditionalist view in which the formation of the moral and social education basis is the obligation of the state.
Princess Cantacuzino’s attitude towards the ‘minority problem’ corresponds to the main politics and also, because of her involvement in the discussion of minority rights within the framework of the League of Nations and of other international feminist organizations, her arguments are pointing to the legitimacy of some of minorities’ claims.
