Gheorghe Mironescu was a Romanian politician who served as a Prime Minister of Romania for two times.

In 1930, Charles II of Romania returned incognito in Romania (with a false passport). In the morning of June 7, 1930, the Government convened the Parliament in order to cancel the act of January 4, 1926, in which Charles renounced the throne. Charles is proclaimed the new king. Prime Minister Iuliu Maniu resigned and a new National Peasants' Party govenment was formed, lead by Gheorghe Mironescu, which made the restoration of Charles II on June 8, 1930 and on the evening of the same day he resigned in order for the king to name the government.
