Gill is well known for her interest in environmental issues and is the author and editor of Green Tips: How to Save Money and the Planet, a consumer guide about environmentally conscious lifestyle choices. She is also environmental editor of Green Living magazine, and this October she started a monthly column in Chatelaine answering readers’ questions about environmental living. Gill’s articles have also been published in the Montreal Gazette and Shift magazine. Before establishing her career in journalism, Gill taught elementary school children with learning disabilities, and she pioneered a new route in New Zealand where she guided student and adult bike tours. Gill's interests include music, photography and painting. She serves on the board of directors for the World Wildlife Fund, and also sits on the advisory panel for All-Canadian Management’s Green Resource Fund. She lives in downtown Toronto with her husband and three young sons.
