Ginger Alden was twenty years old when she and her older sister Terry, the then Miss Tennessee beauty pageant winner, were introduced to Presley in 1976. They had met Presley earlier with their father when Ginger was 5 in 1961. Her father was Elvis's induction officer into the army.
