In the Welsh mythology, Govannon of Gofannon was a smith and the son of the goddess Don. He killed his nephew, Dylan, not knowing who he was. One of the tasks given to Culhwch if her were to win the hand of Olwen was to get Govannon to sharpen Amaethon's plough.


His Irish equivalent was Goibniu.
