Giuseppe Bottai (b.1895 Rome,d.1959 Rome) was a member of the Italian fascist party of Benito Mussolini.He was italis minisger of Education 1936-1943,editor of several journals and Mayor of Rome.He also iniciatd a number of anti-democracy and anti-jewish movements.He also ordered Jewish teachers and students removed from Italy's schools and universities.


He was the first Italian Governor of Addis Ababa for 22 days between 5th May and 27th May 1936.


He is the subject of the Book GIUSEPPE BOTTAI, UN FASCISTA CRITICO: IDEOLOGIA E AZIONE DEL GERARCA CHE AVREBBE VOLUTO PORTARE L'INTELLIGENZE NEL FASCISMO E IL FASCISMO ALLA LIBERALIZZAZIONE by the author who bares the pseudonym "giordano Bruno".


He died 1959 in Rome.


In 1995 it was planed to name a street in Rome after him.
