GnomeFiles is a software repository for the Gtk graphical toolkit and the GNOME desktop environment. It was launched on 16 June2004[1], two months after GNOME closed its software repository due to security issues. It is an admitted clone of BeBits, a similar BeOS software repository which predates it by half a decade, down to the interface. GnomeFiles is currently owned by OSNews LLC.
