Plot

Katelyn Kingsford (Jordan Hinson) has dreams to become one of the greatest figure skaters of all time. When her favorite coach, Natasha Goberman, wants to coach her, she asks her parents, but they thought that it was way too expensive. Katelyn's hockey-loving, brother, Bradley, said to Katelyn that he thought that she was very spoiled, and selfish. Natasha asked Coach Reynolds, for a scholarship on the Girls Hockey Team at the school, but he didn't want a dainty girl on his team. He eventually decided to give Katelyn the scholarship, and Katelyn was happy about it, but she was mad because now she has to play hockey with a bunch of tough girls. Bradley is now mad because he says that Katelyn is now even more spoiled, and he wanted the scholarship. Katelyn is now at her first day at the bording school. She did not like the hockey team because she thought that the coaches were too tough. She told Coach Reynolds she wanted to quit, but he doesn't let her because she's on the scholarship, and he broke a lot of rules to give her the scholarship. Later Katelyn met her new roomate, Amy "Hollywood" Henderson, who says that she hates "twirl girls" and she took Katelyn's poster of Kristi Yamaguchi and threw darts at it. Katelyn then had to put all of her ice skating things inside of a janitor's closet. When Katelyn comes to her skating lesson, all of the other girls are very snobby, especially Pamela. Differences between the movie and real-world figure skating

  • The minimum age to appear in the World Championships is 16. At 14, Kaitlin would be ineligible for competition.
  • The U.S. Nationals does not use theatrical lighting for any of the programs, except the exhibiton.
  • The short program and free skate are held on different days. A winner could not be declared after a single skate.
  • Music for the short program and long program must be instrumental.
  • Shelby is said to have been in three world championships. Shelby is seventeen, and the minimum age is 16, so it is only possible for her to have been in two.
  • When Katelin is speaking to Shelby she says she skated at Salt Lake City, Utah, but she couldn't of because she would have been only 14 when the Olympics went on there, so Shelby would have been ineligible.

Patterson-Gimlin film - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (6250 words)
Most mainstream experts have declared the film is a hoax which deliberately attempts to support the case for Bigfoot, but some prominent figures, such as physical anthropologist Grover Krantz, claim the film depicts a genuine, unknown creature.
Curiously, the figure shown in the Patterson-Gimlin film appears to possess both a sagittal crest (usually restricted to male gorillas) and pendulous female breasts (as in human and chimpanzee females).
Perhaps it was the first film of a new type of hominid, quite unknown to science, in which case Roger Patterson deserves to rank with Dubois, the discoverer of Pithecanthropus erectus, or Raymond Dart of Johannesburg, the man who introduced the world to its immediate human ancestor, Australopithecus africanus" (Napier, 95).
Alien (film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (5206 words)
Despite the film's futuristic setting, the composer's score reflects the film's underlying horror-film genre with its use of oscillating string textures and bizarre sounds.
The film presents a version of birth that might seem almost empathetic with that of the woman's experience: the alien bursting from Kane's chest reflects the intense pain that a woman experiences during natural child birth (a birth without anesthesia).
The film further explores this theme with the computer system "Mother", with the revelation of Ash as an android, and with the realization that Ash's mission involves regarding humans as accessories or mechanisms in the process of preserving the alien and of bringing it to Earth at all costs.
