Go10000.com is a travel vertical or meta search engine based in Beijing, China. It was founded by George Cao (Cao Zhigang) in October 2004 and operates from the tenth floor of R&D Plaza, a startup farm just off Tsinghua University’s campus in northwestern Beijing [1]. Go10000 combines travel information of nearly 100 Chinese travel websites (but does not provide booking facilities) [2] and allows users to look at optimal booking lead times (the best time to book a flight for a given departure date) [3] for their journey. A search engine or search service is a program designed to help find information stored on a computer system such as the World Wide Web, inside a corporate or proprietary network or a personal computer. ...
