History The band was originally named Blind, but performed their first show as Godhead in April 1994 in Fairfax, VA. with the band Mentally Deranged opening for them.
They are known as the first and only band signed on to Marilyn Manson's short-lived vanity label, Posthuman, in 2001. It produced their breakout album, 2000 Years of Human Error, that earned them recognition by Ozzy Osbourne and landed them a spot on Ozzfest in the same year on the second stage. Marilyn Manson, Twiggy Ramirez, and Scott Putesky (formerly known as Daisy Berkowitz of Marilyn Manson) all helped contribute to 2000 Years of Human Error. Since their breakout album, the band has steadily developed a stronger fan base.
