Godzilla vs Megalon (Gojira Tai Megalon) is a 1973film. Part of the Toho studio's Godzilla series, it was directed by Jun Fukuda with special effects by Teruyoshi Nakano.
A movie involving aliens, giant robots, and monsters, as well as giant alien space monsters. It is the thirteenth Godzilla film.
This film is considered one of the worst of the series and unfortunately is one of the most widely seen and is one of the reasons for the disrespect of Godzilla in the US. Was one of two Godzilla films on Mystery Science Theater 3000.
Before the first series of Godzillafilms was brought to a close (the Kaiju Eiga era, starting with Gojira in 1954 and ending with Terror of Mechagodzilla in 1978), GodzillaVs. The Smog Monster (aka GodzillaVs. Hedorah) and GodzillaVs. Megalon were released.
Godzilla arrives to engage in a final battle with the smog monster, as scientists have a plan of their own.....
GodzillaVs. The Smog Monster is a very grim film with a strange side to it.
