Going Straight was a BBCsitcom which emerged as a direct spin-off from Porridge, starring Ronnie Barker as prisoner Norman Stanley Fletcher, newly released from the fictional Slade prison where Porridge had been set.
It sees Fletcher trying to re-emerge as a valued member of society, having vowed to stay away from crime on his release.
Also re-appearing was Richard Beckinsale as Lennie Godber, who was Fletcher's naïve young cellmate and was now in a relationship with his daughter Ingrid. Her brother Raymond was played by a teenage Nicholas Lyndhurst.
Just one series was made, in 1978, with Barker singing the theme tune. The programme won a BAFTA award in March1979, but hopes of a further series had already been dashed by Beckinsale's premature death earlier in the same month.
The latest version includes the pop-up iFinger version of the dictionary which gives instantaneous translation of words in any document you are reading or working on in a small pop-up window.
As an alternative to the Oxford Hachette dictionary, this is also an excellent resource: the dictionary is fast to load and easy to use, and offers up-to-date expressions and terms.
I couldn't find it on Amazon's English site but you can order it from their French site: www.amazon.fr (click on the picture to gostraight to the order page).
The tree book covers the eastern U.S. If any of you have field guides specific to your own area, just place a post on our Gardening Forum and I or someone else will be able to help you out.).
I have many other books in the library but the plant compendiums are the ones that see daily use and where I go to get my ideas from.
