Encyclopedia > Gomosto

Gomosto (Greek: Γομοστό) is a small village and a community which includes Vlacheika. It is in the ENE part of Movri. Distance from Patras is 28 km SW and 67 km (old 72 km) NE of Pyrgos and the highway runs through the village. Its nearby communities and villages are Vlacheika and Kareika to the south, Rachi and Apostoli to the west, Limnochori to the north, Niforeika and Kato Achaia to the northeast and Kapeli to the east. It also has a road to Riolos founded in the southwestern part. It is mainly a rural village, bur forests covers the northern parts, mixed with eastern parts and farmland to the south. It is bounded by Dymi 1.5 km E. The area is mixed farming.
