Gordon Calvin Coleman (July 5, 1934 Rockville, MD - March 12, 1994 Cincinnati, OH) was a player with a 9 season career from 1959-1967. He played with the Cleveland Indians of the American League and the Cincinnati Reds of the National League.
Gordy was the seventh of eight children born to the middle class family of Berry Gordy, Sr.
Gordy sold his interests in Motown records to MCA and Boston Ventures in June 1988 for $61 million.
Gordy is the father of Rhonda Ross Kendrick, the product of a dalliance between him and singer Diana Ross, as well as Kennedy Gordy, better known as the Motown musician Rockwell.
