A dragon is called zmey in Russian, zmiy in Early East Slavic langauges, smok in Polish and Belarussian, zmaj in several Southern Slavic languages.

In Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro a dragon is called "zmaj". It is a multi-headed dragon (with 3, 7 or 9 heads) and breaths fire. It is very similar like in a fairytale of Siegfried and people of Burgundy in the Niebelungenlied.
