The term Gothia, also called the "Hispanic March", was frequently assigned to an area made up of lands south of the Pyrenees as well as in the north (Septimania).
The name was used because the area was populated by a higher concentration of Goths than in surrounding regions. The rulers of this area, when joined with several counties, were titled the Marquesses of Gothia (and, also, the Dukes of Septimania).
"Gothia Land" (in latin Gathia Launia) is assumed to be the origin of the name of Catalonia.
Bernat of Gothia (also, Bernat of Septimania) was the ruler of these lands from 826 to 832.
It was booked by a friend who comes from the city, she managed to get us the VIP breakfast (every day) served on the 23rd Floor.
Now Gothenburg in Januray is not the most pleasant place in the world to be weatherwise as it was cold, dark and rainy most of the times but my stay at the Gothia towers was very good.
We went to Hotel Gothia Towers because our first choice was not available.
