Dr Graham Scott is a former official of the New Zealand government and a current political candidate. He became secretary of the New Zealand Treasury in 1986, and held that post until 1993. He later headed the Central Regional Health Authority and the Health Funding Authority. In the upcoming 2005 elections, he had been ranked fifth place on ACT New Zealand's party list. Graham Scott was Secretary of the New Zealand Treasury from 1986–93, serving the reforming Fourth Labour Government and the National government which followed with its own programme of reform.
Since 1993 Graham Scott has remained a close observer of the New Zealand scene and was Chairman of the New Zealand government’s Health Funding Authority from 1996–2000.
