Grand Forks Township is a township located in Polk County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 231.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 37.0 km² (14.3 mi²). 36.7 km² (14.2 mi²) of it is land and 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.84% water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 231 people, 81 households, and 61 families residing in the township. The population density is 6.3/km² (16.3/mi²). There are 84 housing units at an average density of 2.3/km² (5.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 98.70% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.87% from other races, and 0.43% from two or more races. 4.33% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 81 households out of which 35.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.1% are married couples living together, 4.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 23.5% are non-families. 18.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
