While in Costa Maya, Mexico, Grandeur of the Seas hit the dock making what passengers called a "football like dent" in the side of the ship. The dent was located on deck one of the ship. The company said that 15-knot winds and a 3-knot current contributed to the accident. The next seven day cruise was shortend to five. Guests could get a full refund or get $300 dollars of onboard credit. However, later on, the ship was drydocked and the dent was repaired
