Granma is a 60-foot yacht, designed to accommodate 12 people. It was purchased from a retired USA citizen in 1956, who had named it for his grandmother, and filled with 82 Cuban exiles under the leadership of Fidel Castro to start a revolution against Fulgencio Batista.
