Grant Township is a township located in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 696.

Geography

As of the census² of 2000, there are 696 people, 279 households, and 195 families residing in the township. The population density is 10.0/km² (25.8/mi²). There are 347 housing units at an average density of 5.0/km² (12.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 99.57% White, 0.00% African American, 0.14% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.14% from two or more races. 0.29% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 279 households out of which 30.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.8% are married couples living together, 6.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 30.1% are non-families. 25.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 15.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.49 and the average family size is 3.01.
