The Great Plains Athletic Conference (or GPAC) is a college athletic conference affiliated with the NAIA. Member institutions are located in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. The conference was originally founded in 1969 as the Nebraska Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, later becoming the Nebraska-Iowa Athletic Conference (1992) before being renamed the Great Plains Athletic Conference (2000).
The GreatPlainsAthleticConference (GPAC) is an affiliated conference of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), and consists of Thirteen private, faith-based universities and colleges in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota.
In 1992, the Nebraska Intercollegiate AthleticConference added Northwestern and became the Nebraska-Iowa AthleticConference.
Dordt and Sioux Falls became members of the conference which was renamed again to the GreatPlainsAthleticConference (GPAC) in 2000-2001.
