History
The Quebec Metropolitan Area (QMA) was created on January 1, 2002 (the creation date of the enlarged cities of Lévis and Quebec City). The population of the QMA is about 715,000 inhabitants. It is the second most populous metropolitan area in Quebec and ranks seventh in Canada.
