Vouliagmenis opened with three lanes after the opening of the airport in 1957 and extended to north of Voula. The two lanes extended to Vouliagmenis Avenue. In the late 20th century four lanes extended to Palaia Fokaia. Two lanes remain from Palaia Fokaia to Sounio.
