The Groovie Ghoulies were an American punk rock band formed in Sacramento, California. They released numerous albums, EPs, and singles, and toured internationally. Their music was generally structured around monster, horror, and science fiction themes. The band's name was taken from the 1970s animated television series Groovie Goolies, a spinoff of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (itself a spinoff of The Archie Show). Sacramento redirects here. ... I thought to myself that it was kind of strange that we passed the Groovie Ghoulies driving to the club…Anyways, we arrived at the Magic Stick a few minutes before any of the bands got there.
The Groovie Ghoulies were the headliners for the night.
Their amps were nicely decorated with toys and such, the drum set had all kinds of bugs and stuff hanging off of it…Kepi the singer bounced around the stage singing like a man possessed and the rest of the band followed his lead.
