Notes - Many of the numbers from the CIA are mere guesses (some are absolutely rediculous) and may not reflect the use of oil consumed in the process of making refined products.
- Any economy that has a GDP of less than 100,000 is unlikely to have a true GDP/barrel of more than 1,000 or so. Any country that does should be compared with it's neighbours for a sanity check, case in point: Chad.
- None of these numbers reflects the use of other energy sources such as hydro or nuclear power but in a time of rising oil prices, poor use of oil and it's byproducts will become a severe handicap.
