In comparing survey data taken from Alabama college students to that of college students from the "Midwest" (Illinois) and the "Great Plains" (Oklahoma), religious and cultural differences that might exist were not expressed in perceptions of the tornado threat, understanding of weather terminology, mitigative strategies, or knowledge of, access to, and use of warning systems.
