Guararapes is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. Its latitude is 21.295/21°15'39" S and the longitude is 50.64/50°38'34" W. The population in 2004 is 29,948 and the area is 959.12 km² The elevation is 415 m. This place name comes from the Tupi language.

The Monte Guararapes is today a National Park, maintained by the Brazilian Army, which refers to the place as the "Berço da Pátria" (Cradle of the Nation).
