The Guatemala national football team is the national team of Guatemala and is controlled by the Federación Nacional de Fútbol de Guatemala. It was founded in 1919 and affiliated to FIFA in 1949. It has never qualified for the World Cup. In qualifying for the 2006 World Cup, Guatemala finished fifth in the CONCACF final round, narrowly missing a place in the playoffs.
