To the east is the city of Andong and the county of Cheongsong, to the west is the city of Sangju, to the south is the county of Gunwi and the city of Gumi, and to the north is the city of Andong and the county of Yecheon.
It is located in the centre of the province, and with the exception of Uljin, all cities and counties are within 80 km of Uiseong; with the continual improvement of the road system the distances are growing ever closer.
