Guo Fu (郭芙) is the eldest and spoiled daughter of Guo Jing (郭靖) and Huang Rong (黃蓉) in Jinyong's novel, The Return of the Condor Heroes. She is also the elder sister of Guo Xiang (郭襄) and Guo Polu (郭破虏). As a child, Guo Fo wasn't as bright as her mother although as beautiful and was constantly making trouble for her family. She constantly bullied the young Yang Guo (楊過) with Wu Xiuwen (武修文) and Wu Dunru (武敦儒). As they grew up though, she began to fall in love with him. However, Yang Guo by then was in love with Xiaolongnü (小龍女). Guo Jing (Chinese: ; pinyin: , died January 31, 1273) is the fictional main character in The Legend of the Condor Heroes, a novel written by Chinese author Jinyong. ... When Yang Guo was poisoned, she thought he traded her younger sister for the antidote of his condition, and that he said Guo Jing had already agreed for him to marry her in front of Wu Xiuwen and Wu Dunru, but she doesn't know that Yang Guo is only trying to stop the two brothers from fighting each other to the death for her. In her rage, Guo Fu severed Yang Guo's right arm. When Guo Jing wanted to punish her by removing her arm off too, he was stopped by his wife, Huang Rong.


Guo Fu never told Yang Guo that she loved him. She was angry that Yang Guo is in love with Xiaolongnü and that he denied her father's request to marry her, making her look like that no one wanted to marry her. Guo Fu married Yelü Qi (耶律齊) at the end of the story, whom which she gave her family treasured shield to for him to win the contest to became the leader of Beggars' Sect (丐帮). Beggars Sect (丐帮) is a fictional organisation, often appearing in Chinese wuxia novels, most notably those by Jinyong. ...


Yang Guo later forgive her for severing his arm, but this act of kindness from him would only leave her in deep regret and remorse for everything she has done to him since childhood. Because of that, along with following examples of her gentle sister Guo Xiang, she was seen taking a first step of changing her ways after Yang Guo succeeded in halting the Mongolian invasion. Despite her marriage, she still harbours feelings for him.


It is unknown of her fate after Xiangyang was finally conquered, since her parents and brother died after defending the city.
