The city of Gusev (Гусев; Gumbinnen, German, until 1945; Gumbinė, Lithuanian, until 1945) is in Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia. It is situated close to the border with Lithuania, east of Chernyakhovsk. It has about 20,000 inhabitants.
