HR 465 (GY Andromedae or GY And) is a variable star in the in the constellation Andromeda. Its brightness fluctuares between 6.27 mag and 6.41 mag. It belongs to the group of CP stars, but its most striking characteristic is the occurrence of the element promethium in its emission spectrum. HR 465 is so far the only star in which promethium is found. Most stars are of nearly constant luminosity. ...
