Hainburg, the eastiest town of Lower Austria is situated in the appealing area between Danube in the North, the mount Braunsberg (344 m) in the North-East and the Hundsheimer hills (Hexenberg 476 m) in the South.
Today´s rural district of the Hainburg town is situated in the 165 m seaheight (the mainsquare), his area is 25,04 km2, it has got 1523 houses and according to the cencus from 1991 5.752 inhabitants.
Hainburg is the second biggest town of the political district Bruck on the Leitha.
