Half Life Fate 半生 緣; is a classic example of a love tragedy, written by China’s most famous female author Zhang Ailing. Finally in 2002, this production led as the first re-adapted Zhang Ailing novel to be brought onscreen! The settings take place in the 1930’s tumultuous Shanghai, portraying 14 years of the Gu Man Zhen’s (Ruby Lin) poignant life from virtue merriment to abysmal forlornness. Aside, with the cooperation of Ruby Lin, Patrick Tam, Shui Lin, and Lili Qun, this drama became an influential phenomena, breaking the record of having the most channels broadcasted in China simultaneously during the summer of 2004. Pinyin (拼音, pīnyīn) literally means join (together) sounds (a less literal translation being phoneticize, spell or transcription) in Chinese and usually refers to Hànyǔ Pīnyīn (汉语拼音, literal meaning: Han language pinyin), which is a system of romanization (phonetic notation and transliteration to roman script) for Standard Mandarin used in the...
