Hamilton Fish II (April 17, 1849 - January 15, 1936) born in Albany NY, was the son of prominent Whigg/Republican politician Hamilton Fish. A graduate of Columbia College and Columbia Law School, he was a lawyer and served in the New York state assembly from 1874-1896, elected its speaker for the 1895-1896 term. He served as Assistant Treasurer of the United States for New York in the Administration of Theodore Roosevelt, and was elected to the US House of Representatives for a single term, from 1909-1911.
