Hanaro Telecom, Inc. (NASDAQ: hana (http://quotes.nasdaq.com/asp/SummaryQuote.asp?symbol=hana&selected=hana)) is a Seoul-based telecom company, one of the largest providers of high-speed broadband internet access in South Korea. The company also is one of the largest telephone companies in South Korea, one of only two companies liscensed to provide local telephone access. Known in Korea as HanaFOS, the company also controls a large portion of the local calling card market.
